Elwood Francis and Dusty Hill *Two Years Ago* A Bitter Sweet Story
The story I have heard about the wreck from multiple sources is that the pilot had a heart attack.
Down here in NZ we consider Joe to be an honourary New Zealander as he has spent a bit of time here with one of our bands called Herbs and he became enamoured with our maori culture he has said that he feels at home here and we look forward to seeing him when he comes
Excellent tribute to an awesome artist. Thankfully a few European television appearances and concerts were archived and are now available for us all to watch, listen to and enjoy. I know I do!!! Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it
Great video .
Thanks!
I hated the Joker ... his first four albums were brilliant. It makes me sad that he was ready to hang it up. It was his best work.
His solo in roll with changes is one of THE BEST EVER
I remember in the Mexican Blackbird on the first 8-track tape I was ZZ top run home from school first day bye-bye put in my stereo that I just said do not every night when I get out of school with my headphones any way, that sound shook me into the best ride ever amen 😎
I m 62-year-old hippie and that was one of the best videos I've ever seen on rock and roll legend Billy gibbons (Mexican Blackbird),rythum, remember 8-track tape was the first a tape i
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it!
Anyone who’s not heard it, I suggest you listen to Bluest Blues, George Harrison played slide 👌
Guys are close to 80 now, I doubt you're going to get "a long long time" out of them.
At last a film about the skynyrd honkettes 🙏🏼 rip Cassie Gaines ❤️💔
“Lack of commercial success”. Think not I’ve seen Rory twice in my lifetime, late 70’s at University of Burlington and later, 80-81,in my hometown of Montreal at the famous Montreal Forum I saw Argent, Nazareth and Rory Gallagher as final act. Started at 8 pm and ran until 2 am….all that for the princely price of $5.50 @ ticket, June 14, 1995 was a bad year for the Blues. 👍🇨🇦🎸🎸.
Man the only thing I can tell you about them boys is there a good and they live in Houston and they don't put up with no BS
I live in South wales UK and in the 60s I went up to London to see Johnny winter. While I was there I found a few Record shops in Islington London. That is where a guy in the shop asked what music I liked and said here's 2 bands that sit right up there suitable for you .1st was Allman brothers band 1st album .And of course mountain climbing. From that day till now mountain and Allman brothers band are still played on my deck. West was so out front in the days he played with Papalardi. Absolutely Fantastic
As “injun” as Liz Warren
Thank you. It's great to hear the history of music you enjoy. Just watched Roadhouse and was fascinated by the band.
Great video of a great man. Was he in Midnight Express?
Thanks! Not that I remember.
A really nice tribute to Leon, the MOSAT! Growing up in Tulsa, it's HARD not to be aware of all the talent that came from there. Bob Wills & brother Johnnie Lee Wills are also buried at Memorial Gardens in Tulsa. JJ Cale was also good friends w/ Leon, part of the equation of getting Eric Clapton & JJ Cale linked up for some really big hits. Clapton adored JJ Cale & the Tulsa guys Eric had in his band. Seeing Leon in his Silver Cloud Rolls was indeed a treat! For a more really wonderful tribute to Leon, check out The Church Studio YT Channel. It's too long of a story for here, but w/ the vision of a Tulsa lady & lots of help, Leon's original 1972 Shelter Records Church Studio at 304 S. Trenton has been restored plus a lot to it's recording capibilities. MANY muscians recorded there before Leon moved out to LA. It's a beautiful story of bringing something so important back to reality & it's just too bad Leon missed it's opening in 2022. But his wife Jan has made sure Leon's recordings, personal items & museum-worthy furniture/instruments have made their way from Nashville back to Tulsa, placed in the hands of The Church Studio & the soon-to-open OKPOP Museum. Leon is treasured by many world wide, & that's a beautful thing to see. 🎩🎹🎵🎶🎵🎸🎹🎩
Why did I just find out today that Randy passed? I’m heartbroken. He seemed like such a soft and tender soul- perhaps troubled but a lovely person- a Pisces. I get it. No notification - I’m gutted! How is it that people who have had such an effect on our lives that when they pass and they’re not in the absolute limelight we miss this?
He is my all-time favorite guitar player. Just love his sound . Still listen to him daily.
The Smoker you drink album came out when I was in middle school. Me and my friend were so intrigued by it we formed our own band. Didn't do much with it but we had fun. I want to see him live again, I see he's in Vegas now.
I had Carney on 8 track too!
Allen was the best picker to ever finner bang a fretboard wit a big ole Bob Burns period

My favorite song by the Small Faces is itchycoo park the part I like starts at 2.15 where says (Haw)
Trower's show in Chesterfield, MO was officially cancelled June 5 based on the email sent to me that day by Ticketmaster. He's scheduled to be on Rock Legends Cruise in Feb 2025 and there have been no cancellations of that as of now. Keeping fingers crossed he hopes to be there. He's the reason we pulled the trigger to go.
If you go to his web page he has left this statement. Looks like he might be out for a while. ""Statement from Robin Trower: “It is with great regret that I must inform you that I will be unable to fulfil the upcoming tour of the USA in September/October. I have struggled with health issues for some time now. Following my latest stay in hospital a few weeks ago, my doctor advised me that the only possible way for an effective long-term solution is to undertake a major operation as soon as possible. I am currently awaiting confirmation of that date. I have also been advised that the recovery time to 100% full fitness could take a while. This makes committing to a fixed touring period in the near future impossible. I have struggled with this decision but realize I cannot continue touring at this time. I know that you will be as disappointed as I am, but I am very hopeful that this procedure will give me a new lease of life and I can return to doing what I love the most- playing live ASAP. I look forward to catching up with you all as soon as I am able.”

Randy follows his heart. And touring 11 months in a riw is a long time, especially if you have a wife and 3 kids. Randy did the right thing. He choose the family instead of the money, well done. He was a special kind, tender and likeable human being with the best voice I've ever heard. R.I.P. RANDY❤ from WINNY.
Hendrix called him the best
Well done.
IMMENSO.... La Voce irraggiungibile per chiunque
Watch his face when he was playing, that man just loved to play, and play like a madman he could! ;)
Robin blazed his own trail. He is a guitarist you can identify fairly easily. He was labeled as an English Jimi. Since Jimi was in England , I'm sure it influenced him and 100s of other players. I was fortunate enough to see him in Chicago in the 1990s. House of Blues. Never will forget it. Best to you RT. 😊.Hard to pick a favorite album, but "20th century blues" was a favorite of mine middle in his career.
Gary had a problem with eating too much. He became unrecognizable.
Song for a. dreamer was my musical awakening with Robin
Saw him in 74 Atlanta, Richard's nightclub, awesome night.
